Lisa Gerrard

Lisa Gerrard (born April 12, 1961) is an Irish-Australian musician, singer and composer who gained international renown as part of the music group Dead Can Dance together with Brendan Perry. Her career spans from 1981 to the present, and she has been involved in a wide range of projects. Gerrard received a Golden Globe award and her score for the 2000 film Gladiator received an Academy Award nomination. She both sings and is instrumentalist for much of her work, most prolifically using the (a Chinese hammered dulcimer).

They formed in their hometown Lüneburg, Germany in 1989 and consisted of band members Stefan Zachau (guitar, voice), Gernot Dornblüth (bass, voice), Sascha Kotzur (guitar, keyboard) and Christian Grabowski (drums), whose nickname “Grabbel” was an inspiration for the band’s name, obviously.

Wolf & Cub are an alternative rock band from Adelaide, Australia that formed in 2002. Three of the original members hail from Port Augusta, South Australia. Their music is predominantly psychedelic with elements of funk. The four-piece are signed to legendary record label 4AD. An interesting aspect of the band's music and aesthetic is their use of two drummers. This allows the percussive elements of their music to feature more prominently alongside the guitar.

Cass McCombs (born: 1977) is an American musician whose styles range from the anxious dronals of the Velvet Underground to lonesome hollowed out basement folk with many turns in between. On his most recent effort there is a prevalance of 1980s influence a la Morrissey. His lyrical style is vivid and weary, but will often drift into the high-spirited and whimsical. McCombs was born in Concord, California.
