C.N.BLUE (Korean: 씨엔블루), stylized as CNBLUE (Code Name Blue), is a rock band from Seoul, South Korea, which debuted under F&C Entertainment on August 19, 2009 in Japan with the band's first mini album, Now or Never. The group released four teasers for their 1st album Bluetory, starring one member per each of the videos in the sequence of Jonghyun, Minhyuk, Jungshin and lastly, Jung Yong Hwa on the 6th, 8th, 11th and 13 January respectively. On the January 14, CN Blue debuted their first mini-album with lead single "I'm a Loner" (Korean: 외톨이야).

Playing for Change is a foundation and multimedia online music project created by producer Mark Johnson and his Timeless Media Group, in conjunction with Concord Music Group that seeks to bring together musicians from around the world. The project started in 2004 with the organization's self described goal to "inspire, connect, and bring peace to the world through music". On August 18, 2009, lead singer Shaant Hacikyan announced via his Twitter account he was going solo. Dave Melillo confirmed that he and guitarist Jeff Czum had left the band. Jeff, Dave, and Mike Lasaponara went on to create a new band, Nocturnal Me. In early 2010, it was announced that the band will continue with frontman Shaant Hacikyan as the only original member to continue, joining with former members of Mandy K.
