Aimee Mann was born in Richmond, Virginia, and attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, but dropped out to sing with her first punk rock band, the young snakes; the band released the EP Bark Along with the Young Snakes in 1982, and a compilation album was issued in 2004. In 1983, seeking a return to "sweetness and melody", she co-founded with Berklee classmate and boyfriend Michael Hausman the new wave band 'Til Tuesday, which achieved minor success in 1985 with its first album, Voices Carry.

There are five artists using this name: 1) The seeds of this sunny seaside dream-pop began when Tarabud (vocals & bass), Dennis Bestafka (guitars), & Billy Mower (drums) joined forces after a chance meeting in the San Francisco music scene. With their mutual desire from the likes of Cocteau Twins/Smith/U2/My BloodyValentine/Cure, all 80's synth and 90's dream-pop, they easily shared inspirations to be create their sound. Butterfly Boucher (pronounced 'bow-cher' with a hard "ch" sound, unlike the French pronunciation) is an Adelaide, Australian singer/songwriter. Boucher, born June 2, 1979, is the middle child of seven daughters. The name "Butterfly" was a suggestion from a friend of the family. Her mother didn't initially like the name but kept seeing butterflies in pictures, on clothing, etc. before the birth. In later years, Butterfly's sister had a band, The Mercy Bell, in which Butterfly played bass guitar. In 2004 and 2005, Boucher toured the U.

There are at least three bands called Ohm, one from Stockholm, Sweden and another from South Africa and lastly Chris Poland's Ohm: from L.A california. Ohm: is a Chris Poland (a former member of Megadeth who has also worked with Lamb Of God) experimental jazz fusion project formed by Robertino Pagliari and himself. The band was formed in 2002 and has released 3 LPs and a live album up to date. It should be noted however, that ohm is incorrectly tagged on last.fm... the true title of Ohm: includes a colon, according to Chris Poland this is due to their constantly changing drummers.
