The Arrivals
The Arrivals are a four piece from Blue Island, Illinois, Southside of Chicago. They write songs about everything and nothing, sometimes all at once. They sound like Mission of Burma trying to write Kinks songs, though most people have their own f-ed up description that may be just as valid. They've toured with Dillinger Four(with whom they now share a bass player), The Soviettes, Toys That Kill, Rise Against, Tiltwheel, Vena Cava, Grabass Charlestons, and The Lawrence Arms.
Robedoor
Robedoor is the duo of Alex: slime, knives and distortion, and Notnotfun label head honcho Britt on fire, howls and cloaks... Hmmm... but what does all that mean, sonically? Well, precisely what you might imagine. A blackened drone drenched world of slime and knives and fire, dense clouds of distorted howls, a thick cloak of fuzz and buzz wrapped around the proceedings like a thick, well, cloak! Actually this is a lot prettier than you might imagine. That is, if your idea of pretty includes tons of low end and a world of slow motion doomdrone.
Kenny White
Kenny White (b. in New York) is a very talented American songwriter originally known only as a writer of music for radio and TV commercials but now publicly playing piano, organ and guitar. Even before having started producing his very own albums, he has contributed to Cheryl Wheeler's gigs and CD's. The songs he writes are deeply personal, many are also political (this meaning left-winged). His music style is a mixture of folk and melodic pop (with bluegrass elements).
