Bethlehem

Bethlehem is a dark metal band from Grevenbroich, Germany, formed in 1991 by Jürgen Bartsch and Kläus Matton. Before begetting Bethlehem, Bartsch and Matton used to play in a German Thrash metal band called Morbid Vision. Much of the themes in their lyrics revolve around sickness, morbidity, suicide, death and madness that may to some extent be personal to the band, though they are very difficult to understand even for German speakers because they make absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Five bands share the name Felony: 1) An L.A. based New wave band, led by brothers Jeffrey and Joe Spry most known for their paranoid 1983 single "The Fanatic". The band dissolved following the release of their third album, In the Name of Rock-n-Roll. 2) Felony was founded in the year 1992 by Markus Geiger (keyboards) and Thomas Brogli (bass). Urs Fischer (guitar) and Björn Rindlisbacher (drums) joined the band soon.

In Extremo

In Extremo is one of the most famous folk metal bands, originating from Berlin, Germany in 1995. The band's musical style combines heavy metal with medieval traditional songs, blending the sound of the standard metal instruments with traditional instruments such as the bagpipes, harp, hurdy-gurdy and shawm. Versions of well-known traditional/medieval ballads make up the main part of their repertoire, though over the years the band has also begun to write some original material using the German language.
