Black Doom Metal

Isolation

There are at least (7) artists that share this name: 1) German Black/Doom Metal band, formed in the year 2004 by Johannes, Albert and Karl in Lübeck. While they started out playing a style deeply rooted in Depressive Black Metal, later on the music evolved toward a calmer, more solemn direction. In 2007 Karl left the band after the first concerts that summer. In the meantime Johannes took over the bass himself, until in the autumn 2008 Andre joined in. www.churchofisolation.net

Alkerdeel

Alkerdeel spits out droney black doom metal with blown out practice space production, grinding guitars, blasting distorted drums, filthy super sick vocals, with bursts of sludge and stretches of loping minimal crunch, sort of mathy, all very very heavy, doomy and even psychedelic. Essential for fans of Darkthrone, Burning Witch, Wolves In The Throne Room, Beherit and why not, Mount Eerie … as well as other practitioners of grim buzz and noise.

Mourning Dawn

Fruit of one only man's (Laurent) passion for the dark side of music, The French Black Metal band Mourning Dawn was born in September 2002 with the very confidential release of the first demo called "Mourning Dawn".
Recorded with a small budget, this album already shows a line-up which wants to avoid stereotypes while giving a dark and violent music.

Lesbian

Yep, the band's name is Lesbian. Why? Well, equally cool names like Black Sabbath, Venom and Pentagram were already taken. But also, the name Lesbian evokes pure, sexually charged freedom - and that's what music is all about. But enough about the name, let's talk about the Lesbian sound; it's heavy, melodic, dramatic and dynamic. The Seattle-based quartet's multifaceted debut album Power Hör on Holy Mountain Records heralds the birth of The New Wave of American Psychedelic Metal. Each of the album's four tracks shifts moods, dynamics and styles.

Bethlehem

Bethlehem is a band from Grevenbroich, Germany, formed in 1991 by Jürgen Bartsch and Kläus Matton. Before begetting Bethlehem, Bartsch and Matton used to play in a German Thrash metal band called Morbid Vision. Much of the themes in their lyrics revolve around sickness, morbidity, suicide, death and madness that may to some extent be personal to the band, though they are very difficult to understand even for German speakers because they make absolutely no sense whatsoever.
