2) Free Spirit are a melodic hard rock band from Finland. Stadium size choruses and big guitars are the key elements in their music, whose main influences come from 70’s and 80’s heavy metal and melodic hard rock bands. Their sound is at the same time familiar and yet seductively novel.

Boston hardcore circa 2001. Popularized a New York Hardcore influenced style (not unlike bands such as Straight Ahead, Breakdown, or Supertouch) that is recognized as the "Lockin' Out" scene, a reference to the label run by Greg Willmott, singer of Mental. Justice, The Wrongside (aka Dumptruck) and Righteous Jams alongside Mental are the most identifiable entities associated with Lockin' Out Records.

The Carrier are one of Boston's newest and most interesting hardcore bands. Their brand of powerful melodic hardcore is the next chapter of evolution in their genre. Emoting with a goose-bump inducing fervor unlike any other band out there today. In the summer of 2007, The Carrier released their debut 7"EP on the Words Of War label. This amazing three song 7"EP caught the attention of the hardcore community worldwide, paving the way for the band to tour throughout the year.

Negative Approach is an American band. They are considered one of the pioneers of hardcore punk, along with bands like Minor Threat, Bad Brains and Black Flag. Formed in Detroit, Michigan, Negative Approach existed from 1981-1984, and now again from 2006-present. Like most hardcore bands, they were little known in their day outside of their hometown. Intense hardcore music from Boston, Massachusetts. Signed to Bridge Nine Records and Think Fast Records. Recorded a demo released in 2003, in 2004 the “What Counts” EP (Think Fast Records), and full-length “The Things We Carry” (Bridge Nine Records) in 2006. Full-length “Songs To Scream At The Sun” (Bridge Nine Records) is their latest release to date. "Songs to Scream at the Sun" includes lyrics about vocalist Pat Flynn coming to terms with his family's history and present situation.
