He was in the Boys group with mentor Cheryl Cole. His vocals appear on the X Factor Finalists 2009 Charity single (a cover of Michael Jackson's You Are Not Alone) which reached number 1 status in the UK Charts on 22/11/09.

The Ditty Bops is a band from Los Angeles, California that play a blend of folk, bluegrass, jazz, swing music, ragtime and musical theater. They are headed by Abby DeWald (vocals and acoustic guitar) and Amanda Barrett (vocals, mandolin and dulcimer). They are noted for their excellent harmonies and generally playful style and tempo. The Ditty Bops formed in New York City, when Abby and Amanda were on a hunt for a friend's lost cat.

Niall Horan (born 13th September 1993) is a 20-year old boy from Mullingar, Ireland. He is a member of a five-piece boyband, One Direction (formed in 2010). Before he competed in the UK and Ireland singing competition "The X Factor", he played numerous gigs around the country including as a support act for Lloyd Daniels (in Dublin). He then took up the challenge of applying to the X Factor 2010 whereby he entered as a solo artist.

Despite being based in the US rather than Japan, they have strong links with the shibuya-kei scene in their use of sampling and mixture of trip-hop and rock, but stand out amongst other such artist for their particularly strong use of Latin and South American music. Cibo Matto is an Italian phrase that means "crazy food".
