JD Samson

JD Samson was born August 4, 1978, in Cleveland, OH, under the name is of Jocelyn Samson. She dresses in an androgynous way and has become synonomous with Kathleen Hanna's feminist electropunk band Le Tigre. Growing up in Cleveland's suburb Pepper Pike, Ohio and attended Orange High School, she came out as a lesbian at 15 years old. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY in '00 with a degree in film.

Owl City is a synthpop project of Adam Young. Formed early 2007 in Owatonna, Minnesota, United States. Owl City has reached the "Top Unsigned Artist" position on Myspace, having over 10 million total plays. His best known single is 2009's "Fireflies", which in October 2009 hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Owl City has released the EP "Of June" in 2007; the album "Maybe I'm Dreaming" 2008; and in 2009, the album "Ocean Eyes" was released. The Limousines

The Limousines are an Electropop band based in the Bay Area, California. The band consists of songwriter and vocalist Eric Victorino, and multi-instrumentalist and producer Giovanni Giusti. The band has had comparisons drawn with MGMT. Victorino, who had previously performed with rock band Strata, stated that he was "tired of band politics" and "needed another outlet, one that wasn't quite as dark and heavy". Giusti and Victorino started the Limousines after communicating online and exchanged lyrics, music and recorded vocals online.

Wonkavision

Wonkavision is an indie rock band with loads of moogs, power guitars and vocal harmonies a la 60s. Firstly inspired by the north-american band The Rentals, Wonkavision is mostly characterised by the contrast between the sweetness of their melodies and the sarcasm of their lyrics.
Their debut album Wonkainvasion was released in 2004 in Brazil, and won a national award for the best indie rock album that year. In 2007, Wonkavision signed with the Tokyo based label PowerPop Academy and released an English version of the same album in Japan.
