Benny Goodman

Benny Goodman, born Benjamin David Goodman, (May 30, 1909 – June 13, 1986) was an American musician, known as King of Swing, Patriarch of the Clarinet, The Professor, and Swing's Senior Statesman. Goodman was regarded by some as a demanding taskmaster, by others an arrogant and eccentric martinet. Many musicians spoke of The Ray, Goodman's trademark glare that he bestowed on a musician who failed to perform to his demanding standards.

Formed in Orlando, FL in the summer of 2007, Strangers Family Band—a five-piece consisting of members in their early twenties—gained recognition and a following from their intense live shows and unique take on psychedelia. The experience transports the listener from ominous vaudevillian progressions ('Beware The Autumn People') to ukulele strummed pop a'la Sgt. Pepper ('No One Sees Her') to North Indian raga-influenced drone ('Strange Transmission') like an uninterrupted stream of consciousness.

Celph Titled

The over-the-top, bazooka wielding action star of hip hop, charismatic Floridian word master Celph Titled began his professional entrance into the rap game as a teenage lyricist and local production staple during the late 90's indie 12-inch vinyl boom. Being a member of, and producing for, a number of boundary-pushing Tampa rap crews at the time, he networked heavily to take his music worldwide and began contributing beats and rhymes to a non-stop tirade of vinyl singles during a time when the 12-inch single market was key in building a cult fan base.

Dominique is a Florida girl through and through, growing up in the Robles Park Neighbourhood Projects of Tampa Bay. Hanging out with the Yo Majesty camp, Dominique found music as a way of carrying her message from the projects to the people. Youthful, raw and full of bite, this 19 year-old is crashing onto dancefloors with her militaristic mash-up of electro and hip-hop.

Sunday Driver

Alex Martinez (guitar, and vocals) and Arnold Nese (bass) formed the Miami Florida quartet, Sunday Driver in 1995. Sunday Driver began playing the local Miami scene with bands like New Found Glory, The Vacant Andys, Strongarm, Shai Hulud, and other Miami emo and hardcore bands. In 1997 Sunday Driver added second guitarist Charlie Suarez, and in 1999 they met drummer Paul Trust, thus completing the line up know today as Sunday Driver. The band soon began work on a 5 song EP for Doghouse Records. Sunday Driver’s debut release, Third Place Prize, came out in October of 2001.

Florida is a lo-fi Psychedelic band signed to Shdwply Records. "Florida founder Daniel Rineer began writing and recording for lo-fi, psychedelic releases in early 2006. In Brooklyn, New York, early 2008, a band had formed. This consisted of CJ Jankow, Jordan Pettingill, and Daniel. Both Jankow and Pettingill were from the state of Florida and have been lifelong musical partners in bands such as Cop City Chill Pillars & Freak Church.
