Their style was originally defined as a connection of drum'n'bass/breakbeat and pop but today Skyline call it urban pop...

Ronin

RONIN is the name of multiple musical acts. 1.) Ronin aka Jonathan Axelsson was born in Sweden, and got in touch with music very early in life since both his father and grandfather were musicians. As a young boy he started playing drums, and then continued with piano lessons. In the mid 90's he discovered a new type of music that would change his life forever. The music he heard was called deep house, and struck Jonathan's heart immediately. He now started to produce music in a more serious matter and in 1997 he got in touch with Johan Bacto, which later formed the label PlackTown Sounds.

The Launderettes

The Launderettes are an all-female group from Norway who play what they describe as "raw 60's garage punk". The group is led by the self-proclaimed "scream queen" Ingvild Nordang, alongside Linda Kastbakken (Guitar & Backing Vocals), Siri Eriksen (Bass & Backing Vocals), Ragna Nordenborg (Keyboards & Backing Vocals), and Cecile Asker (Drums & Percussions). They released their first two singles back in 2000 - Rebel Love was released on the Norweigan Label Sneakers Records, and I Wanna Jump Your Bones on German Label Thunderbaby Records.

Morgan Geist

This New Jersey native was initially inspired by England's take on the sound of Detroit, but eventually tracked techno back to its Motor City innovators. When he began listening to music, however, it was the sound of early-'80s synth heroes like Devo, Severed Heads and New Order alongside early hiphop, jazz and 60's Hindi film soundtracks. Geist released his first 12" (via Dan Curtin's innovative Metamorphic label) while studying at Oberlin College in 1994.

The People's String Foundation

The Peoples String Foundation are a 7-piece from Cornwall, Southwest UK. They are Ben Sutcliffe - Vocal-guitar-violin-piano, Harry Harding - Drums-vocal, Clare Tomlinson - Violin-vocal, Zaid Al-Rikabi - guitar-vocal, Beth Hutchins - Bassoon-vocal, Lukas Drinkwater - Bass-vocal, and Molly Weaver - vocal-percussion. A violin led blend of classical, trip-hop, jazz, gypsy and reggae - to name a few of the genres one could tag this genre-spanning group.
