Eric San is no ordinary DJ. While his peers dream of euphoric crowds and killer drops, Eric is thinking up characters, creating story-lines and building plots. “I try and make little stories. Whether it’s with a pencil or with bits of records, it’s really the same thing.” One of his latest projects, Nufonia Must Fall, is a perfect example. A story about a robot trying to impress a girl, it’s a comic book with a CD soundtrack and a mini chess set all in one. “When I was a kid, all my 7-inchers had books and pictures to go with them.

DJ Scratch

DJ Scratch (born George Spivey) was introduced to EPMD by Jam Master Jay at the Run's House Tour after DJ K LA Boss left EPMD. Impressed by his skills, the two designated DJ Scratch as their official D.J. by their second album Unfinished Business in 1989. His presence was felt with his powerful cutting and scratching techniques that are heard on various tracks. Aside from scratching, on Business As Usual, he produced the track "Funky Piano", "Rampage" and in 1991 worked on a remix for "I'm Mad" off the Rampage 12" single.

Dreadsquad

Sound system established in Lodz in 2001, the crew is two dj's - MMF & Funksion. Except playing on the gigs they also record mixtapes and produce their own music. They play mostly dancehall and reggae, but also soca and reggaeton. They have recorded with most of poish reggae MC's (Pablopavo, Jr. Stress, Reggaenerator, Mista Pita, Natural Dread Killaz, Ras Luta).

Cosmic Kids Ron Poznansky and Dan Terndrup didn’t meet in outer space as their DJ moniker may indicate, but the story is still equally as good. The two met in a high school classroom meant for kids who had trouble paying attention. They bonded over their love of classic rock. Right out of high school they both volunteered to work at the Los Angeles radio station KCRW. Known for its eclectic programming, the friends were exposed to all different kinds of music, and began collecting and consuming records, feeding their ever-expanding appetite for music.

C2C was born in 1998 from the meeting of 4 french Dj's : Greem, Atom, Pfel and 20Syl. Member of an emerging movement called "scratch music" (or turntablism), this crew keeps working on finding original sounds and knows how to benefit from its technical control to put forward some musical quality which makes its identity. Each member uses his turntable as an instrument, recreating in turn drums or bass guitars, scratching a riff of guitar or shearing the brass... to lead to a general harmony such as bands made up of instruments known as "traditional".
