Body Language

Busy saving the city from the brick wall arm crossing and the casual head nods, Brooklyn's own Body Language has risen from the DIY venue basements armed with the kinetic dynamite you would expect from the name. Their original music was born from weekly dance party remixes crafted by Grant Wheeler and Matt Young, and graced by the soul stylings of Ms. Angelica Bess. Their efforts, which illustrated their arrival into Brooklyn, were delivered in a five track EP called “Speaks".

Article One is a Christian rock band from London, Ontario. The band originally performed under the name Appertain Display but has since adopted the name Article One in honour of article one of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The group consists of Nathan Piche (vocals, guitar, and keys), Matt Piche (violin and vocals), Dave DeSmit (drums and vocals) and Mark Laidman (bass guitar). The band is currently signed under the label Inpop Records.

Rasputina is a "cello rock" ensemble composed of singer/cellist Melora Creager, and various, frequently changing band members. The current lineup includes Creager (cello), Daniel Dejesus (cello), and Dawn Miceli (drums). Founded by Creager in 1992, they have long held true to their mission of enlightening the common man as to the power and versatility of the mighty cello. Historically influenced, and constantly costumed, Rasputina keeps a small legion of incredibly passionate admirers enthralled with their earnest musicianship.

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Arizona was an indie rock band formed in Brooklyn, NY. The band is currently on indefinite hiatus. The members are now working on other projects, including Wages (www.wageswages.com) and New Beard (www.newbeardcity.com). Dntel is the solo project of Jimmy Tamborello. Dntel is known for mixing glitch and cut-up electronic techniques with instruments like acoustic guitars, accordions, and symphonic instruments. Dntel is also the project that spawned The Postal Service. He started working as Dntel, pronounced Din-tell, in 1994. A collection of tracks created between 1995-1997 (Early Works For Me If It Works For You) was released on the Phthalo label in 1999, followed by the release of an EP recorded in 1994 (Something Always Goes Wrong) in 2000.
