Vex

There are eight artists by the name of Vex. 1) Vex hailed from South East London / north west kent area and formed in the very early eighties, the 'Sanctuary' 12" and 'It's no crime' on the Mortarhate compalation 'Who?What? Why?When?Where?' were their only releases.
Sanctuary was issued on Fight Back, a sublabel of Mortarhate, run by the people of Conflict. Vex also played gigs with Conflict, so they were more associated with the anarchist punk scene than the Batcave fair. But contrary to most anarcho-punk bands from that time, they were not influenced by CRASS or Conflict.

Nunslaughter

Formed in 1987 by Don of the Dead (bass) with Jer the Butcher (guitar), Gregoroth (vocals) and Behemoth Bill (drums), the spawn called NunSlaughter began spewing forth the sonic vomit known as Death Metal. Taking from the learning experience of their earlier bands DEATH SENTENCE and BIRD OF PREY they shunned the vile confines of a studio for the oppressive darkness of a basement tomb to release their first demo in 1987 christened "Ritual of Darkness". The raw sound of "Ritual" established N.S. as purveyors of true Death Metal.

Artist Type:

Necronomicon

1) Necronomicon were formed in 1971 in Aachen, the Western part of Germany near the Belgium and Netherlands border. With an album title (Tips zum Selbtsmord) that means "How to Commit Suicide," Necronomicon's one album, from 1972, featured bleak progressive garage rock with long instrumental passages. With wailing acid guitar solos, dark organ swirls, and angst-ridden singing in German, Necronomicon has created a dark and powerful vision that blends psychedelic and progressive music with a proto-punk garage band sensibility.

Artist Type:

Necrophobic

There are two bands named Necrophobic. The more popular was formed in 1989 in Stockholm, Sweden by guitarist David Parland and drummer Joakim Sterner to give the world a band that created unholy death metal. Necrophobic had a few different influences and focused more on creating a much more dark and evil sounding music, in the beginning influenced by Morbid Angel, Slayer and Bathory. During the underground years 1990-1992, the band built up a great reputation with the demo tapes Slow Asphyxiation (1990), Unholy Prophecies (1991) and the limited vinyl-ep The Call (1992).
