Gareth Liddiard

The Drones front man and renowned Australian singer songwriter Gareth Liddiard released his first solo album Strange Tourist on October 1st, 2010. Gareth Liddiard is known for his thick Australian accent. Also known for his bombastic and at times cathartic work with prolific Australian outfit The Drones, for his new album Liddiard stripped back the material to the bare bones, armed with nothing but an acoustic guitar, his plaintive voice and a notebook full of brand new songs.

NKOTBSB

In 2010 New Kids On The Block and Backstreet Boys joined together to form super-boyband NKOTBSB. They first performed together on the American Music Awards and have a tour coming in 2011. "Don't Turn Out the Lights" is the first single released by the super group, which went on air for the first time on Ryan Seacrest's show. The single will be released on a greatest hits collection CD in May, having 5 hits from each group. As on now, the single is available on iTunes.

Largely produced and performed on a single computer (including live shows), his songs tend to be constructed from digital samples of found sounds and other artists' music. Charlyn Marie Marshall, also known as Chan (pronounced "Shawn") Marshall, was born in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S. on 21 January 1972. After dropping out of high school, she started performing under the name Cat Power, while in Atlanta, backed by musicians Glen Thrasher, Mark Moore, and others. She soon moved to New York City, United States in 1992, then later opening for Liz Phair in 1994, she met Steve Shelley of Sonic Youth and Tim Foljahn of Two Dollar Guitar, who encouraged her to record, and played on her first two albums, 1995's Dear Sir and 1996's Myra Lee.

Faiz Ali Faiz

Faiz Ali Faiz (born 1962 in Sharaqpur, Pakistan) is one of the main singers of , a devotional musical expression of the Sufis, a mystical offshoot of Islam. Faiz Ali Faiz comes from a family of qawwals from seven generations in Pakistan. He started his professional career in 1978, at age 16, creating at the same time his own qawwali ensemble. Though Faiz is from Lahore, he practices the doaba style from eastern Pakistan. He stated in recent interviews he has been influenced by Sham-Chaurasi, a famous Khayal singing school where Ustad Salamat Ali Khan belongs to.
