Although based in London. the London Bulgarian Choir performs Bulgarian folk songs. Dessislava Stefanova, formerly of the Philip Koutev Ensemble, has led the choir since its formation in 2000. The London Bulgarian Choir have released one album, Alyana Galyana, and have contributed to film and television soundtracks including Troy and The Virgin Queen. The choir are BBC Radio 3's Open Choir of the Year, 2006-7.

Rachid Taha (Arabic: رشيد طه) (born 1958) is a French-Algerian musician. His music is influenced by many different styles such as rock, techno, and raï. Taha was born in Oran, Algeria. His father was a factory worker. Taha's family immigrated to France in 1968. While working in a heating appliance factory in the late 1970s, Taha founded Les Refoulés ("The Rejects"), a nightclub where he would spin mashups of Arabic pop classics over Led Zeppelin, Bo Diddley, and Kraftwerk backbeats.
In 1982 the Bollywood session musician CHARANJIT SINGH imported with much pain some of the latest synthesizer equipment into India. A good investment as Bollywood composers liked to feature the latest sound in their songs, and with these keyboards Singh spiced up numerous Bollywood recordings. But apart from that, in the late nightly hours after the studio recording were over, Singh set out on his own, wholly original project.

Lisa Gerrard (born April 12, 1961) is an Irish-Australian musician, singer and composer who gained international renown as part of the music group Dead Can Dance together with Brendan Perry. Her career spans from 1981 to the present, and she has been involved in a wide range of projects. Gerrard received a Golden Globe award and her score for the 2000 film Gladiator received an Academy Award nomination. She both sings and is instrumentalist for much of her work, most prolifically using the yangqin (a Chinese hammered dulcimer).
