BADBADNOTGOOD is pianist Matt Tavares, bassist Chester Stone Hansen, and drummer Alex Sowinski, who is usually seen wearing a pig mask. The trio met at Humber College in Toronto, Canada and bonded over their mutual musical interests—OFWGKTA, Gucci Mane, and Waka Flocka Flame. MorF is a kind of stylistic indecisiveness. The name – derived from a popular question used on the Internet: Male or Female – refers to the state of being between; in this case, between music genres. Kuba Luka and Michal Sosna started the project in 2006. At the beginning it was rather a side project for them – an addition to other projects they were involved in at the time. This changed in April 2006 when they performed before an Australian trio called Triosk.
