There are at least two artists going by the name Michael James: 1. A Christian pop artist who seems to have been active mostly in the 1990s. 2. A Cleveland based noise/experimental musician whose first CD-R, the self-released Geisteskrank, appeared in 2009. 3. An Edmonton based pop-rock singer-songwriter.

Refused is a hardcore punk band originating from Umeå, Sweden, formed in 1991. The band's final lineup comprised its founding members, vocalist Dennis Lyxzén and drummer David Sandström, as well as guitarists Kristofer Steen and Jon Brännström. Their lyrics were often of a non-conformist and politically far-left nature. The band released five EPs and three albums before initially splitting up in 1998.

Atif Aslam (Urdu: عاطف اسلم) is a Pakistani musician. He was born in Wazirabad, Gujranwala, Pakistan and educated in Lahore and Rawalpindi. Atif attended High School at PAF College Lahore, where he played cricket and became interested in music. He attended PICS (Punjab Institute of Computer Science) to do his Bachelors in Computer Science (BCs). It was at PICS Lahore that he met guitarist and talented, young composer (like himself), Gohar Mumtaz.
