A Whisper in the Noise

A Whisper in the Noise is a musical project formed in 2002 by rock composer West Thordson. Centered in the Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota, United States Twin Cities metro, the group is known for their dark sound and unique instrumentation, as well as their effective live performances. Eschewing the more traditional use of guitar or heavy keyboards that might be associated with the band's umbral sound, the instrumentation of A Whisper in the Noise has included the cello, violin, French horn, synth/electronic keyboard, bass guitar, and percussion in some variation.

NED

NED was found in a junkyard close to Lyon, France in 1998. From the early noisepunk, the trio opened to more diverse influences. Mixing now the former soup with swampy blues, cracky rythms, brutal anti-music, concepts, with always a taste for catchy melodies. After several albums, and splits with DOPPLER and OHARU, NED released its new album, "Rien, Merci".

Gestalt

===there are more than one artist named "Gestalt" ---1)
Gestalt was formed in 1982 in Lyon. The group draws from the musical Pantheon where Jim Morrisson and Léo Ferré, Hawkwind and Béla Bartok cross, and the most inventive formations of the moment, like Tuxedomoon or Mechanic. In this asserted eclecticism, it is especially its own way which Gestalt seeks. That of a dark energy rock'n'roll interfered research in the compositions.

Reigns

Operatives A & B began recording for the Reigns organisation in 2002. Their first album, “We Lowered a Microphone into the Ground”, was a series of recordings made within a seemingly “bottomless” hole found upon the Somerset Downs. Their follow-up, “Styne Vallis”, was recorded in and around a submerged village that had been evacuated and strategically flooded in 1970 to make way for a new reservoir. “The House on the Causeway”, out in March 2009 on Monotreme Records, is their third long player.

El Dog

“a glorious mix of Muse and Led Zepplin and Mogwai and Biffy Clyro. They may be clearly mad, rabid even, but they're also smarter than your average pooch.” Is This Music?, UK “Four to the floor loud and chuggy, quiet and emoesque... turns old scool boy indie rock.” The Guardian, UK “an intensely emotional performance which splices Radiohead with Smashing Pumpkins but without descending in to the overblown pomposity of Muse.” The Skinny, UK
