the host

Since forming in 2006, The Host has become a staple of the Hard Rock scene in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. What started out as a labor of love for the four-piece has become an outright obsession. "The need to write and perform outweighs anything else in our lives, and we work hard to ensure that everything we do has a special quality to it," says Host singer, Chris Charlton. Camper Van Beethoven

Camper Van Beethoven is an alternative rock band that was founded in 1983 in Redlands, California, though the band soon moved to Santa Cruz, California. Camper Van Beethoven mixed elements of pop, ska, punk rock, folk, country, and acid rock into an eclectic, catchy and sometimes mysterious ensemble, years before the so-called alternative rock moniker came to mainstream attention. The group's trademark violin-coated melodies and their ironic take on American culture put them one step away from being a novelty act in the eyes of many critics.

d_rradio

d_rradio began releasing recordings in 2003. Their odd name (pronounced D. R. Radio) stands for deathrowradio - the intention of their music is to bring comfort and light to the most dark and difficult hours. Thriving on organic melodies and digital soundscapes, d_rradio's first public ventures were lugubriously soporific affairs. A spilt 7" with Marcia Blaine School For Girls on the Awkward Silence label, was followed two months later by the 'Dust And Guitars' 7" on Static Caravan - both of which received regular airplay from John Peel and sold out super fast.
