Parlour grew out of the Kentucky art/post-rock scene that produced such talents as Slint, Papa M, the Kilowatthours, and My Morning Jacket. The group layers gentle guitar chords, warm synthesizers, and down-tempo beats with Krautrock influences for multi-textured grooves that would make perfect company for Tortoise.

Slint

Slint was a math rock band consisting of Brian McMahan (guitar and vocals), David Pajo (guitar), Britt Walford (drums), Todd Brashear (bass on Spiderland) and Ethan Buckler (bass on Tweez). They formed in Louisville, Kentucky, United States in 1986. Though they disbanded circa 1991, they are considered to be a major influence on the , , and scenes. Slint's first album Tweez was recorded by legendary engineer Steve Albini in 1987 and released in obscurity on the Jennifer Hartman Records label in 1989.

Leyaks' tunes are instrumental. They blend Melodic Post-Rock, Math, Electronica, Psychedelic and Heavy Rock influences with their own experiments in sound, playing techniques and frequent changes of style and pace. During their shows they project visuals onto the stage which are manipulated live by the band. Both music and visuals are rumoured to be inspired by Balinese black magic... Leyaks was formed in the summer of 2007 in London...

Reigns

Operatives A & B began recording for the Reigns organisation in 2002. Their first album, “We Lowered a Microphone into the Ground”, was a series of recordings made within a seemingly “bottomless” hole found upon the Somerset Downs. Their follow-up, “Styne Vallis”, was recorded in and around a submerged village that had been evacuated and strategically flooded in 1970 to make way for a new reservoir. “The House on the Causeway”, out in March 2009 on Monotreme Records, is their third long player.

Glenn Branca

Glenn Branca (born October 6, 1948 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania) is an composer and guitarist. Branca studied theater at Emerson College in Boston in the early 1970s. While there, he began experimenting with sound as the founder of an experimental theater group called Bastard Theater. He moved to New York in 1976. His first encounter with the NYC music scene was with the N.DoDo Band whom he observed many times at their rehearsal space- Phil Demise's Gegenschein Vaudeville Placenter. This is where he first met jeffrey lohn who was playing electric violin with the N.

There are mutliple artists to this name: 1) Irma Vep is a 1996 film by Olivier Assayas starring Maggie Cheung and Jean-Pierre Léaud. 2) Irma Vep is a dog's back leg. Welsh born, Manchester based musician/dancer Edwin Stevens records and performs his solo guff under the pseudonym Irma Vep along with sometime collaborator Dylan 'DBO' Hughes who both play in the popular nu-reggae group Klaus Kinski

Joe Gideon And The Shark

Gideon plucks six strings, dreams stories and sings. Kid sister Viva, a.k.a. 'The Shark', plonks, stomps and honks. Formerly members of Bikini Atoll, they released two albums on Bella Union, second album recorded by geeky genius Steve Albini. Then, they formed a family band and spent summer 06' getting drunk in a barn writing songs on their 8 track recorder. It's been two years now and in this time they've been invited to play with great bands and musicians around europe; Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Archie Bronson Outfit, The Duke Spirit, Scout Niblett, Michael Gira to name but a few.
