Za!

ZA is a band of two guys and nine instruments. While their music coordinates include heavy distortion, thick bass rhythms and a taste for the “bright” side of death metal, their compositions vary from ancestral melodies to free-jazz, noise, psychedelia, the songs of the shepherds of Tuva, Monty Python, drone-rock, macho post-rock or even analog electronics. Grails

Grails are an American instrumental rock band from Portland, Oregon. Initially the band 'Laurel Canyon' formed to play one show on a whim. In 2003 the band changed its name to Grails, just before the release of their first full-length album. They adopted a louder, more aggressive style, often switching instruments with each member writing songs that saw them branching out to increasingly disparate styles. They live in Portland but rarely play live in their hometown.

d_rradio

d_rradio began releasing recordings in 2003. Their odd name (pronounced D. R. Radio) stands for deathrowradio - the intention of their music is to bring comfort and light to the most dark and difficult hours. Thriving on organic melodies and digital soundscapes, d_rradio's first public ventures were lugubriously soporific affairs. A spilt 7" with Marcia Blaine School For Girls on the Awkward Silence label, was followed two months later by the 'Dust And Guitars' 7" on Static Caravan - both of which received regular airplay from John Peel and sold out super fast.

Tiny Leaves

Tiny Leaves is the music of ambient, modern classical composer Joel Nathaniel Pike. He has developed his sound as a solo artist alongside years of writing and performing in bands. He describes his music as being rooted in narrative, but is often surprised at the undefinable end result. His music has a delicate, cinematic quality that brings a quiet hope.
