The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die are an atmospheric emo / indie rock band from Willimantic, CT. The band was formed in 2009 and has undergone several lineup changes since its inception. TWIABP's now 8 piece lineup writes the songs collaboratively and often on-the-spot with vocal duties shared by 4 members. The band's sound is easily compared to second wave post-emo indie rock bands of the late 90s and early 2000s and their atmospheric moments are often tagged as "post-rock.

Special Guest

Special Guest is Providence College's only all-male a cappella group. Since its inception in 1996, the group has been performing on the PC campus, around Providence, and around New England for anyone willing to listen. The boys of Special Guest are notorious on Providence's campus for breaking hearts, making knees weak, and being really, really, ridiculously good looking in the black and tan. Their traditional annual performances include Fall, Christmas, and Spring concerts;
PCACI (Providence College A Cappella Invitational), when they invite groups from other schools to share the stage;

Hailing from Iceland FaMR comprises of four 20-year-olds. Their music is best described as energetic, melodious post-rock, though being the natural creative visionaries they are, the band expand and even subvert their style with almost every song. Their self-produced debut album Reistu þig við, sólin er komin á loft..., a mesmerizing, hour-long tapestry featuring six songs and recorded over a weekend in Iceland.

ZA is a band of two guys and nine instruments. While their music coordinates include heavy distortion, thick bass rhythms and a taste for the “bright” side of death metal, their compositions vary from ancestral melodies to free-jazz, noise, psychedelia, the songs of the shepherds of Tuva, Monty Python, drone-rock, macho post-rock or even analog electronics. Califone is a critically-acclaimed experimental folk band from Chicago. The band is named after Califone International, a long-standing manufacturer of audio equipment commonly found in schools, libraries and businesses. Califone is the musical project of former Red Red Meat frontman Tim Rutili. Its regular and rotating contributors include many former members of Red Red Meat and some members of other Chicago bands, such as Tortoise.
