Frederic Rzewski (born Westfield, Massachusetts, 1938) studied music first with Charles Mackey of Springfield, and subsequently with Walter Piston, Roger Sessions, and Milton Babbitt at Harvard and Princeton Universities. He went to Italy in 1960, where he studied with Luigi Dallapiccola and met Severino Gazzelloni, with whom he performed in a number of concerts, thus beginning a career as a performer of new piano music.

There is more than one artist using this name: 1. kREEPA was founded in 2000 by John Richards and Hilary Jeffery and began with recordings where extended instrumental improvisations were combined with simple electronic textures. The recorder player Cesar Villavicencio joined the group in 2000. Recording continued throughout 2001 at kreepastudio in Leicester (UK), including sessions with the contrabass recorder player Cesar Villavicencio and the phenomenal saxophonist Paul Dunmall. Egberto Amin Gismonti (born December 5, 1947 in Carmo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a brazilian composer, guitarist and pianist. Gismonti began his formal music studies at the age of six on piano. After studying classical music for 15 years, he went to Paris to study orchestration and analysis with Nadia Boulanger and the composer Jean Barraqué, a disciple of Arnold Schönberg and Anton Webern. After his return to Brazil, Gismonti began to explore other musical genres.
