The Homosexuals

The Homosexuals were an influential British punk band formed in 1977 as Rejects by Bruno McQuillan, Anton Hayman, and Jim Welton (who has also gone by the names L. Voag, Amos, and Xentos). Their angular guitars, complex melodies, and experimental leanings distanced them somewhat from the punk rock being created by their contemporaries and made them a definite precursor to post-punk. They released very little during their lifetime, and most of what they did release was on small run vinyl on obscure record labels.

Strawberry Blondes

Keeping it strictly roots, punk n roll mob kings, Strawberry Blondes like their rock n roll super charged. Their songs are short, sharp, shocks of highly melodic punk rock bile, based on the rudiments thrown down by the classic first Clash album, or against the grain conviction of the early Manics or the zeitgeist defining lyrical smarts of their beloved Goldblade. The Strawberry Blondes, slash n burn two minute blasts of guitar driven punk rock n roll, their mini anthems-should-be-Top-30 missives.

Matthew Ogle

From humble beginnings, the talented young Canadian Matthew Ogle (from Edmonton, Alberta) occasionally made poor-quality basement demos under a variety of pseudonyms. Sometimes his "friends", who love and believe in him very much, renamed the files, and through the power of Audioscrobbler and world-dominating international espionage, eventually backed the production for his 2006 album release. What may seem like a burlesque musical satire is surprisingly intimate — "From Alberta to the Albert: Live sessions from the Hot Grapefruit lounge" is an unexpectedly high benchmark for a first release.

Artist Type:

Tomboy

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Tomboy is the alias of WhoMadeWho drummer Tomas Barfod, who has released electro/house records on Gomma Records, Kitsune Music and on Tiga's Turbo Recordings. 2) tomboy is the name of a Japanese pop duo under the Avex Trax record company. The duo features Sonim and Osawa Akane. 3) Danish Thomas Bickham, alias Tomboy was born on the 29th of march 1975. At the age of 19 he started doing dragperformances. Won the Danish version of Big Brother VIP, and took part in the Danish version of "Fab five".

Raggedy Angry

When it comes to an unbridled penchant for brutally honest lyrics and bare bones beats, we can call vocalist and songwriter Irvin Scabtree “Master”, or at least that’s the title of one of their most downloaded tracks on itunes. Along with guitarist Pressit, the two released an epic 12 song debut record in 2006. Pressit’s chunky guitar riffs complemented Scabtree’s predilection for the electronic. Together at only the age of 17 they released Take Me, Break Me, Make Me Pretty; a monstrous electro record that gained the attention of the music industry.
