The Portlands

The Portlands' Bio The Portlands formed in 2009 in the north-west of England, Manchester, and have toured the world with their distinct brand of Folk Rock 'N' Roll. After sharing studio time with Elbow only three months into their formation at Blueprint Studios, they went on to play some of the most prestigious venues in the country on their first UK Tour, and finished with a 15,000 capacity crowd festival date at the end of summer 2010.

Chris Davy : Drums Formed in September 2010 and named after an Ed Ruscha painting of the same name who the Talking heads famously used for the "Sand in the Vaseline" compilation. Pretty much the first gig they got offered was one supporting The Vaccines. They had met through a friends of friends and within a few weeks recorded the tracks heard on bandcamp prior to playing live.

Captain

Captain are an English band from London, UK, who formed in early 2005. They perform a range of alternative pop songs, getting their musical influences from groups such as the Smashing Pumpkins, The Beach Boys, My Bloody Valentine and The Cure. The band was signed to EMI achieving minor chart success in 2006 with their singles Broke and Glorious, which reached numbers 34 and 30, respectively on the UK Top 40. Their début album, This Is "Hazelville," reached number 23 on the UK Albums Chart.
