Blue Murder

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) British hardrock band
2) Dutch guitarpop band
3) British folk group

1) Blue Murder was the hard rock brainchild of ex-Whitesnake and Thin Lizzy guitarist John Sykes. The original 1988 lineup of the band, also included ex-The Firm bass player Tony Franklin and drummer Cozy Powell (although he was almost immediately replaced by Carmine Appice). Ray Gillen was also briefly in the 1988 line-up before Sykes decided to take the vocal duties himself in addition to guitar.

Artist Type:

Carmine Appice

Carmine Appice (b. December 15, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American rock drummer of Italian ancestry. He is brother to Vinny Appice, who also plays drums professionally. Appice first came to prominence as the flamboyant percussionist with the late 1960s psychedelic foursome Vanilla Fudge. Appice and bassist Tim Bogert contributed distinctive background harmonies to the group's high-decibel sonic assault.

Artist Type:

Roger Sutcliffe

There isn't much of information on this British blues guitar player and singer to be found. He's not to be found on the big stages, but plays at pubs and the like. Yet he's an oldschooler in the best sense of the word - his style of playing the guitar is nothing but amazing, due to about 40 years of experience. It's classic blues performed perfectly and with great passion.
Some scraps of information and a list of released albums can be found at Folker (German language only, sorry).

Andy Wood

Young rock/fusion virtuoso Andy Wood started out on the mandolin at the very tender age of 5. Coming from a very music-oriented family in east Tennessee, Andy's first musical love was bluegrass - learning how to play the mandolin and becoming a proficient musician from his grandfather (Paul Birchfield) and his cousin Brian Arrowood, who is a monster fiddle player and currently the band leader for country artist Mat Stillwell.
