Byron Coley

Byron Coley is an American music critic who wrote prominently for Forced Exposure magazine in the 1980s, starting with their fifth issue until the magazine ceased publication in 1993. Prior to Forced Exposure, he wrote for NY Rocker, Boston Rock, and Take It! magazine. Coley is one of the first writers to have extensively documented indie rock from its inception to the present day. Coley was a contributing writer to Spin in the 1980s and '90s, and currently writes for the Wire and Arthur magazine with Thurston Moore.

White Fence

White Fence's trippy, distortion-laced, psychedelic pop-influenced tunes (sounding, in other words, something along the lines of a warped cassette tape featuring The Left Banke or The Merry-Go-Round) are the brainchild of Timothy Presley (also a member of the like-minded groups Strange Boys and Darker My Love). The project's self-titled debut was released on the Woodsist label in the spring of 2010. For the project's next release, White Fence Is Growing Faith , Presley didn't change much. The January 2011 album follows the same sometimes goofy, always trippily tuneful template of the debut.

Seaworthy

Seaworthy refers to at least two different groups/projects : 1. Seaworthy, a three-piece collectivefrom Sydney, Australia that primarily revolves around core member Cameron Webb as well as Sam Shinazzi and Greg Bird, was formed in early 2000 to explore melodic and experimental approaches to the construction (and unravelling) of minimalist soundscapes from looped guitar, warm drones, piano, electronics and field recordings.

Conlon Nancarrow

Conlon Nancarrow (b. October 27, 1912, Texarkana - d. August 10, 1997, Mexico City) was an American-born composer who lived most of his life in Mexico. Nancarrow is remembered almost exclusively for the pieces he wrote for the player piano. He was one of the first composers to use musical instruments as mechanical machines, utilising their capacity to play complex polyrhythms at tempos far beyond human performance ability.

Plankton Wat

Plankton Wat is the solo sound world of Dewey Mahood, founding guitarist of Eternal Tapestry. Playing modern guitar soli inspired by the tradition of Fahey and Basho, and contemporary players Richard Bishop and Makoto Kawabata. Beginning as a home recording project in 2001, Mahood has slowly built a collection of highly personal music that has filtered out into the underground via tape labels such as Stunned, Digitalis, and Sloow.

There are 11 known bands with the name Titan: 1) Canadian hardcore band based in Toronto, ON. A union between the severity of hardcore and technical mastery/sinister malice of metal, maintaining roots consistent with traditional Canadian hardcore established by the likes of Union Of Uranus, Buried Inside and Cursed. The Search Party

A rare religious rock album by a from Wisconsin band who relocated to Sacramento, California. Many of the tracks feature lovely female vocals, although part of Side Two is more acoustic and folky with male vocals.
At its best the album is superb. A mystical atmosphere is created by the floating, melodic psychedelia of songs like When He Calls, So Many Things Have Got Me Down and The News Is You. Just listen and drift away.

From the damp and misty woods of New Hampshire emerges the second full length from psychedelic jam warriors MMOSS. The minute we heard the band's 2011 debut on Burger Records they immediately rocketed to the front of our release "wish list". Recorded by the band themselves at home "Only Children" is everything we could have hoped for. The songs swirl and shimmer as the vocals waver and glide together like the trippiest acid test light show. 'Only Children' is a decidedly heavier trip than the debut album paring down the sheer number of tracks in favor of expanded blasts of musical mayhem.
