The Extremes
The Extremes were Simon Baughen and Jerome Clough, right of picture. Primarily a recording band, they released: 'Eat My Dust' 45 (Liquid/Salome) in 1987; 'Car Crash Music' 12" (Violent Hour/Explode/PS/Salome/Valentine's Day)in 1988. 'Save me from the sun' appeared in 1989 as the B side to 'Scratch that Lightning', a 45 by Simon Baughen and the Extremists. Chris and Justine, left of picture, augmented the band for their debut gig, the infamous Rock Garden gig in May 1988.

Bow Street Runners
Sounding like a blend of Jefferson Airplane and the Doors, Bow Street Runners was a Fayetteville, North Carolina-based psychedelic band who released one eponymous album in limited quantities on B.T. Puppy Records in 1970. While the group was ignored at the time, Bow Street Runners became a collectible item among psychedelic aficionados during the '80s and '90s. Flushed from Fayetteville, North Carolina-where they thought they could remain comfortably obscure-by our release of their only album, the Runners have recently re-surfaced.

Jessica Bailiff is an American singer-songwriter from Toledo, Ohio. Her music is largely classified as slowcore, although it contains elements of post-rock. It is essentially a droning, experimental style of slow-tempo music which coalesces textured, blurry and surreal sounds with immersed vocals. her most recent release is a 4-track ep, recorded with Annelies Monseré. Conlon Nancarrow
Conlon Nancarrow (b. October 27, 1912, Texarkana - d. August 10, 1997, Mexico City) was an American-born composer who lived most of his life in Mexico. Nancarrow is remembered almost exclusively for the pieces he wrote for the player piano. He was one of the first composers to use musical instruments as mechanical machines, utilising their capacity to play complex polyrhythms at tempos far beyond human performance ability.

Expo '70
EXPO '70 was formed in Los Angeles by Justin Wright as a side-project, while he was playing guitar in Living Science Foundation (Second Nature Recordings; GSL50 Compilation). Initially, the group also included Wright's friend, PK . The pair improvised creating sounds bouncing effect-ridden instruments creating a wide range of textures and moods. EXPO '70's first recording and inception was during PK's project SXBRS recording session, resulting in one of many split releases on PKs' label.

The Gruntled
Australian avant-medieval improvised drone combo The Gruntled started when asked to contribute a cover of a '60s Australian garage punk song to Melbourne radio station 3CR's "Wild About You" - a book and cd paying tribute to that scene. The Gruntled chose to do The Missing Links' "Drivin' Me Insane". This recording was made by Nick, Ricarda, Matt on drums and some hired help. White Manna
White Manna plays space rock using a scorched-earth policy. The Arcata, California, quartet may telegraph where they’re coming from and where they’re going to take you with their track titles, but knowing the itinerary doesn’t dampen the thrill of their excursion into stellar depths. Opening track “Acid Head” is not false advertising. It begins with an amiable boogie-rock amble before tumescing into stentorian, Loop-like riffing.
