Killswitch Engage is a metalcore band from Westfield, Massachusetts, USA. Their sound mixes crushing riffs, double bass drum patterns, furious screaming-growling vocals and a dash of melodic elements. Their music is heavily influenced by the hardcore music scene. A key feature of the band's sound is the use of complex palm muting, single-note and power chord riffs featuring dual-guitar harmonies, often punctuated with pinch harmonic squeals.

Force Fed the Sick is a death metal band from Leeds, UK. The band consists of former members of Hellgrind and Hate Unit joined by one 'orrible cokney slag. Taking their influences from Pantera, Waking The Cadaver, The Black Dahlia Murder, Chimaira etc in an effort to bring something fresh and exciting to the UK death metal scene, FFTS combines fast-paced riffs, groove metal, breakdowns and a wide range of death metal style vocals. The band has nearly finished recording its EP/DVD Imprint of Cruelty which is expected out in early April 2009.

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Redrum - (often stylized as REDRUM) is a Japanese indie/shoegaze rock band who formed in 1996 with the decisive goal of becoming a band similar to Portishead for Japan. The members of the band consist of Yumi (vocals), Tsuyoshi (guitar) and Kazi (drums). The role of bassist officially changed two times and was helmed primarily by Soto who joined the band early on and stayed until his departure in December 2004. Their catalogue of works consists of only a few proper albums, several mini albums and maxi singles.

Darkane

Darkane (formerly known as Agretator) is a Melodic Death / Thrash Metal band formed in Helsingborg, Sweden in 1998. The name Darkane is a portmanteau of the words "dark" and "arcane". The first album featured Lawrence Mackory, who had a much more death metal influenced voice. After 1998's Rusted Angel, Andreas Sydow was recruited, and handled vocals on the next three albums, Insanity, Expanding Senses, and Layers of Lies. He decided to leave the band in 2007 and Jens Broman (Construcdead, The Defaced) took his place for Demonic Art.

Nothgard

Nothgard was founded in 2008 by Dom and Toni. After a few months of jam sessions, they started to work on their own songs. Of course there was an indispensable need for a bassist and rhythm guitar. Viktor joined the band as man responsible for the pressure. Isochronicly with Chris (rhythm guitar), Lena became member of the band, giving the songs a symphonic touch by playing the keys. - So their collective Ideas let develop varied songs with lots of good influences. The last need was a band name, which was found in “Nordavind” for the present.
