Reaction was a heavy metal band from Tokyo, Japan, which was formed back in 1983. It was counted among the important band from Kanto (East Japan, Tokyo-Yokohama area) metal movement, alongside heavy metal stalwarts Anthem and Sabbrabells. Kanto movement was seen as a rival movement to the Kansai (West Japan, Osaka-Kyoto-Kobe area) metal movement. They released 5 full length albums and 6 singles.

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Redrum - (often stylized as REDRUM) is a Japanese indie/shoegaze rock band who formed in 1996 with the decisive goal of becoming a band similar to Portishead for Japan. The members of the band consist of Yumi (vocals), Tsuyoshi (guitar) and Kazi (drums). The role of bassist officially changed two times and was helmed primarily by Soto who joined the band early on and stayed until his departure in December 2004. Their catalogue of works consists of only a few proper albums, several mini albums and maxi singles.

Vamps

There are at least 2 bands/artists with the name Vamps. 1) VAMPS is a Japanese unit by Hyde (lead vocalist of L'Arc~en~Ciel) and K.A.Z (guitarist of Oblivion Dust, hide with Spread Beaver and Spin Aqua). HYDE and K.A.Z have been working together since HYDE's third solo album FAITH, which was released in 2006. In early spring 2008, they announced the name-change for HYDE's solo project - and officially formed a band. One of the reasons being to give more credit to K.A.Z for his work. Thus VAMPS was born.

Blood Stain Child

Blood Stain Child is a trance metal band from the city of Osaka, Japan. They are influenced by techno, gothic, rock and also visual kei elements.
The band formed under the name "VisionQuest" in 1999, but reformed under the name Blood Stain Child in 2000. BIOGRAPHY Blood Stain Child was formed in 2000 by Ryo (vocals, bass), Ryu (guitar), Daiki (guitar), Aki (keyboards), and Violator (drums). In August 2000, Blood Stain Child recorded their first demo, which consisted of the songs "Silence of Northern Hell", "Requiem", and "Legend of Dark".

Coffins are a Japanese band, formed in 1996 by guitarist and vocalist Uchino. Having gone through several lineup changes in the past, they now consist of Uchino, Ryo (drums) and Koreeda (bass). Their sound is influenced by old school '80s and '90s , and . After several demos they released their 1st full-length album "Mortuary In Darkness" in 2005.

girugämesh (ギルガメッシュ) was created in 2003 in the suburbs of Tokyo. However, 2004 should be considered as the true beginning, because it was in that year the band formed its present line up: 左迅 (Satoshi, vocals, ex-べノム), 弐 (Nii, guitar), 愁 (Shuu, bass. before girugämesh he was a roadie for kagerou) and Яyo (drums). Their first concert was in Motoyawata ROUTE14 24.03.2004. At this time they released their first demo: ~kaijou kata enban~.

DEATHGAZE (typeset as simply deathgaze from 2004 to 2006) is a Japanese / band formed in July of 2003 in Nagoya. The band's current-line up hasn't changed since 2009, and its only founding members still in the band are vocalist Ai and drummer Naoki. Current line-up:
藍 (Ai) - Vocals (2007-present), guitar (2010-present), bass (2003-2008)
貴樹 (Takaki) - Guitar, backing vocals (2009-present)
孝介 (Kosuke) - Bass, backing vocals (2008-present)

ONE OK ROCK

ONE OK ROCK is a Japanese Rock band formed in the summer of 2005. It was started by Toru with High School friends Alex and Ryota after each of them got their musical instruments. After that, Taka joined as their vocalist and they focused on performing shows in the Tokyo area. In 2006 they independently released 2 mini albums. Because of their albums sales, their participation in relatively large festivals that summer and their energetic shows in the outskirts of Tokyo, they were noticed by a foreign record company.
