Tord Gustavsen

Tord Gustavsen, a jazz pianist for a few years has been a renowned personality of the Norwegian music. He has been a pilar of many projects involving some best Norwegian musicians, such as: Silje Nergaard, Siri Gjare, Kristin Asbjornsen, or Live Maria Roggen. He shows an ability to combine history of jazz with Nordic ambience and lyrical beauty, which has an intriguing influence on contemporary jazz scene.

Vulture Industries

Vulture Industries explore a gloomy musical landscape. With their doomy, progressive and different approach to metal they’ve stood out in the Bergen, Norway music scene since the band formed in 2002. Their sound is a unique mix of extreme, melodic, symphonic, industrial and slightly experimental metal. Although Vulture Industries is quite a young band, they hold signifcant musical experience, and consists of current and former members of Sulphur, Black Hole Generator, Malice In Wonderland, Enslaved (session), Taake (session) and Syrach.

Grieg

Edvard Grieg was a Norwegian composer of the Romantic period, born in Bergen in 1843. Being the first famous composer from his country, he tried to develop a distinctly Norwegian style of composition. He is known for his Piano Concerto in A minor, his Lyric Pieces for piano, and the music he wrote to accompany the Ibsen play Peer Gynt. The influence of Norwegian folk music is palpable in much of his work.

There are, at least, fourteen artists using this name: 1. DiVA, a sub-group from Japanese idol group AKB48 formed in February 2011. Members consist of Akimoto Sayaka (秋元才加), Umeda Ayaka (梅田彩佳), Masuda Yuka (増田有華) and Miyazawa Sae (宮澤佐江). They are being promoted as a 'vocal and dance unit'. Wardruna

Wardruna is a Norwegian musical constellation set out to explore and evoke the depths of heathen Germanic wisdom and spirituality. Musically Wardruna has its main focus on the cultic musical language found in the near-forgotten arts of galdr, seidr and the daily acts of the cultic life, mixed with impulses from Scandinavian and Nordic folk music. They formed in 2003 in Bergen, Norway. The album entitled ‘Gap var Ginnunga’ is the first in a planned trilogy that will interpret the runes of the Elder Futhark.
