Hanne Hukkelberg (born April 1979) is a singer-songwriter from Kongsberg, Norway. Hukkelberg started singing and playing instruments at the age of 3. In her youth, she was a vocalist covering genres such as jazz, rock and free jazz, and was a member of a heavy metal band in high school, called Funeral. She earned her degree from the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, Norway. Her debut album Little Things was released in Norway in 2004 with a subsequent worldwide release in June 2005 by Propeller Recordings and distributed by Sony Music.

Svarttjern was formed late 2003 by HaaN & HansFyrste in Oslo, Norway. The two brothers played alone for some time until 2004 when they decided to bring more blood to the band. Grimmdun, Fjellnord and Skabb became members, and over the next years two demos were recorded. Late 2007 Skabb was replaced by Terror, and Svarttjern entered the studio again to record a three track promo. Svarttjern signs with Schwarzdorn Production for their debut album, and entered Strand Studio in Oslo summer 2008.

Guitarist Ivar Grydeland and percussionist Ingar Zach, prime movers and catalysts for free improvised music in Norway, got in touch with Christian Wallumrød after hearing his “Sofienberg Variations” on ECM and they have since worked together in diverse combinations including, since 2004, ‘Dans les arbres’ a project completed by French clarinettist Xavier Charles. Their radical all-acoustic improvisation explores sonorities and textures that frequently sound electronic, and also often sounds ‘composed’ – with echoes of Cage and the New York School.

Kate Havnevik is a Norwegian singer and songwriter from Oslo. Her debut album, the electronica-infused "Melankton," was released in March 2006 on iTunes and April 2006 (on physical CD) in Norway, before being licensed internationally later in the year. Havnevik has been working on three albums simultaneously - "Melankton," "You" and an acoustic album entitled "Embla." In a move similar to that of British singer and friend of Havnevik, Imogen Heap, Kate is releasing her albums through her own record label, Continentica Records.
