Frigg

There are two bands named Frigg: (1). Frigg is a multitalented Finnish-Norwegian seven who produces fresh Scandinavian folk fiddling accompanied by fretted instruments, upright bass and endless energy. The style they represent is a mixture of Kaustinen (Finland) and Nord-Trondelag (Norway) -traditions flavoured with a taste of americana and irish folk music. Frigg has been chosen as "The Band Of The Year" 2003 of Kaustinen Folk Music Festival. http://www.frigg.fi (2) Frigg is also the name of an experimental german Band.

Grande

Grande (Kjetil Grande), recently released his second solo album "You Are The Night". Norwegian critics are overwhelmed and honour the album with 5 and 6 eyes on the dice. Some of them even claiming "You Are The Night" to be the best Norwegian album of 2010. Not bad for an artist who experienced the pressure of following up his ”Norwegian Grammy” award winning debut album "Uppers, Downers, Screamers & Howlers".

The Vanguards

http://thevanguardsuk.com/ see also http://www.last.fm/music/The+Vanguards+UK The Vanguards that I know are an English Indie band with great songs fronted by Twem. Within months of forming The Vanguards found themselves recording in The Charlatans studio with legendary production duo Dave Tolan and Jim Spencer (Primal Scream, The Charlatans) – the result is ‘Regress’ – a gritty blast of raw energy blended with a genuine pop melody, it’s a rock/pop hit in the making.
