The Works

There are three groups named "The Works" 1) It is rare to come across a band that can straddle that vast canyon between serial debauch and fierce, exacting professionalism. The Works from Stockholm, Sweden, however are just such a band and they come over like young goggle-eyed virtuosos from some weird Scandinavian conservatoire where ergot, as well as hours of practice, is on the curriculum. How apt then that lead singer/guitarist Andreas began The Works with rhythm guitarist Martin while both were attending the Stockholm School of Music.

Artist Type:

Knife Fight

There are two artists using the name Knife Fight (1) Knife Fight was a fast hardcore band from Southern California. None of the other KF's ever put anything out, so they don't count. Never one to shy away from wearing their influences on their sleeves, you can hear heisted riffs and lyrics from bands such as Negative Approach, America's Hardcore, Straight Ahead, Rudimentary Peni, Voorhees/Shark Attack/F.U.'s/Deathreat, Battalion of Saints, and apparantly Lack Of Interest. But that's only 7 songs out of like 40.

Artist Type:

Insult

There are at least six bands with name of Insult: 1) A Dutch Fastcore Band
2) An American Powerviolence Band
3) A Swedish Death Metal Band
4) Insult PL (metal / alternative)
5) Insult ITA (old school hc)
6) Insult (old school punk/hardcore from Folkestone UK)
______________________ 1) Insult were a Dutch hardcore punk / fastcore band that plays in the vein of Infest, Siege, and Charles Bronson but with a much more fierce attitude - mixing elements of old school hardcore punk and even death metal.
