Solitary Experiments

Solitary Experiments formed in 1994 as a collaboration between Dennis Schober and Michael Thieleman, who had briefly collaborated before as 'Plague'. The following years saw occasional live shows and the release of a couple of demo tapes before the song 'God, Where Are You?' from the 'New Violent Breed' compilation in 1999, which would become a hit in their native Germany as well as Holland and the USA. Their debut album 'Final Approach' was released on Machinery later that year.

Arcturus

Arcturus is an band from Oslo, Norway featuring many prominent members of the Norwegian black metal scene from bands such as Ulver, Dimmu Borgir, Mayhem, Borknagar, The Kovenant, Emperor, and Winds. Arcturus have experimented throughout their career, extracting influences and incorporating elements from all over the musical spectrum including black metal and classical music, but the core of their sound has always been metal.

Nhomea

Nhomea is an improvisational group from Australia. The group has an open lineup, and comprises of a large list of experimental musicians from Sydney and interstate. Born of being aware of the present, and predicting the future - this sonic organism evokes danger, immediacy and spontaneity. The totalising effect of this experimental journey drives the listener into the unknown, and with alarming effect. Nhomea attempts to remain as true to creative inspiration as possible- to allow expression in the moment, and to be reflective of the surroundings and the audience.

Pollyester

POLLYester, founded in 2007, is a disco-wave duo from Munich. Polly Ester aka Polly Lapkovskaja (bass, vocals) is a musician at the Munich Chamber Theater, a member of the bands Kamerakino, The MiSHIMA and Convertible, and organizer of various club events (ZOMBOCOMBO; koshka valerianka). Drummer Yossarian (also vocals) alias Manuel da Coll has studied music and is also a member of LaBrassBanda. Together they play a sort of Dada-Funk with heavy bass and erratic vocals, influenced by and bands like Maximum Joy and ESG.

Mirage

There are at least 14 bands named Mirage. 1) Mirage released numerous cover version megamixes of current pop hits during the eighties. Many of them were produced by Nigel Wright, sometimes together with Nigel Stock, John Davies & Robin Sellars. Mirage also had three vocalists that posed on the record-covers: Kiki Billy, Nicos Griffiths & Carlos Griffiths. 2) A cult hungarian new/darkwave band from the '80s.

Komputer

Komputer is the project of two London-based synth-meisters: Simon Leonard and David Baker, releasing on Mute Records. The duo have been writing, mixing and producing together for over 25 years, formerly in I Start Counting & Fortran 5. Their new album is Synthetik. Their sound is rigorously electronic and their tracks deal with such diverse subjects as: Russian cosmonauts, rubbish compactors and mobile phone ringtones. Musical antecedents and influences include Kraftwerk, Giorgio Moroder, Syd Barrett and Brian Eno.
