There's more than one artist under this name:
1. Thorns (formed as Stigma Diabolicum, but changed name to Thorns after two years) is a Norwegian black metal band, masterminded by Blackthorn (Snorre W. Ruch - also in Mayhem and Satyricon). They made two highly influential demos in the early 90's, Grymyrk and Trøndertun, but have only released one full-length album, since the band was founded, in 1989.
Sceptic is a Polish death metal band founded in 1994 by Jacek Hiro (ex-Decapitated, Dies Irae, Virgin Snatch). Marcin Urba? (one of the fastest 200 meter sprinters) handled the vocal duties for the first and the third album (Blind Existence, Unbeliever's Script), but is currently a session member due to his sport career. Gospel of the Horns formed in Brisbane, Australia, in '93 and in late '94 they released their cult demo The Satanist's Dream. It gathered great responses, which in turn led to a deal with the incompetent Einstand Records to press the demo on CD. Not only was the layout incorrect, they also placed a photo of a different band in the booklet... To this day, the band urge no-one to purchase this CD as this label does not warrant your money.
There are several bands sharing the name Black Majesty: 1) A melodic power metal band from Melbourne, Australia. So far they have released five LPs: Sands of Time (2003), Silent Company (2005), Tomorrowland (2007), In Your Honour (2010) and Stargazer (2012). The band was formed in 2001 under the name Kymera and with various members already well known on the local metal and heavy rock scene. Guitarist Steve Janevski was drawn from Cyclone Tracy, a long-running heavy rock/hair metal outfit.
Astriaal is a black metal band from Brisbane, Australia. The band formed in the winter of 1998 as a three piece with Baaruhl on both vocals and guitar. Astriaal released their debut demo 'Glories of the Nightsky' in October 1998 with Baaruhl playing both bass and guitar. Since the addition of bass player Murtach in 1999, Astriaal's line-up has remained solid. The band's first live show was as support to Nazxul in November 1998.
