HK119

HK 119 is a powerful Nordic force resolved to shatter any illusions you may have about your comfortable post-millennial society. This beautiful blonde creature, at once Amazonian and eerily robotic, is the creation of Finnish artist Heidi Kilpelainen. Her dystopian vision of the world takes elements of the modern human condition and pushes them to the extreme, where people have sacrificed their humanity for consumerism, and technology pervades every detail of our lives.

Diversity

It was a late autumn evening in year 2006, and as energies flowed, crossed, collided, soughed over the city of Rīga, Latvia, eventually they intersected, forming a beam of light, which struck four people who were at the time together at the studio, as a lightning. Immediately, they felt - we have something to say, we have to play together to make the world understand what it needs to know. That’s how Diversity was formed.

Gorguts

A highly technical and avant-garde band, Gorguts was formed in 1989 by Luc Lemay (guitar/vocals), Sylvain Marcoux (guitar), Eric Giguere (bass) and Stephane Provencher (drums) in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. They recorded a demo in 1990 entitled "And Then Comes Lividity", and then in 1991 released "Considered Dead" on Roadrunner, their first full length of death metal. The release was very promising, and even included a guest guitar solo by James Murphy and guest vocals by Chris Barnes.

The Black Tricks

Descending from Hertfordshire, The Black Tricks have invaded London like Derren Brown in a black shirt playing with the likes of Dirty Pretty Things, Lethal Bizzle and Paddingtons before headlining at Death Disco. With the song 'How do you Sleep at Night' being featured on BBC radio they are poised to explode on to the alternative scene.

hunz

Hunz is a three-piece electronic pop band, spearheaded by Brisbane-based electronic musician and producer, Hans Van Vliet. With a background in music programming and motion design, Hans pulls his notes out of a binary soup of ones and zeroes, hand-crafting synth patches and beats from scratch. The result is a mix of pulsating, glitchy electronics and ethereal vocals that hint at the sinister, but succumb to the pleasure of pop hooks instead.

The Overtures

The Overtures present a faithful and dynamic tribute to pop's greatest decade. With their magnificent repertoire of over 400 songs they have rapidly built their reputation as the finest 60s tribute band in the country. You'll hear every aspect of sixties music from the early 'Merseybeat' of The Beatles and The Searchers through to the 'surf' sound of The Beach Boys - the rhythm and blues of The Rolling Stones to the folk-rock of The Byrds and The Mamas and The Papas - the close harmony of Simon and Garfunkel to the psychedelic power of Jimi Hendrix.
