Michelle McManus (born on 8 May 1980, in Glasgow, Scotland) is a Scottish singer who found fame after winning the second season of Pop Idol in the United Kingdom. Michelle has subsequently had brief success as a recording artist. Since then, she has gone on to host a successful Scottish television programme called The Hour and has presented a series of Big Band specials on BBC 2. She also sang for the Pope in September 2010 alongside Susan Boyle.
Stephen Schwartz was born in New York City on March 6, 1948. He studied piano and composition at the Juilliard School of Music while in high school and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 1968 with a B.F.A. in Drama. Upon coming back to live in New York City, he went to work as a producer for RCA Records, but shortly thereafter began to work in the Broadway theatre. His first major credit was the title song for the play Butterflies Are Free; the song was eventually used in the movie version as well.
Several artist appear under the name Brooklyn: 1) A short-lived rock band featuring Bad Brains member Daryl Jenifer and Adam Yauh from Beastie Boys who recorded a 15-song demo in late 1987. 2) A rapper from the Czech Republic 3) Co-founder of Heatbag records, Brooklyn is a member of Winnipeg's Most in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada who has two solo albums; Mind of a Heatbag (2009) and Only the Strong Survive (2011).
Morgan Zarate is a producer, drummer, beatmaker and musical connoisseur from London, UK. Also known as Morgan Spacek, he has been working as an influential producer and remixer for many years, continually pushing forward the sound of future soul music. As one third of the band Spacek, Morgan produced the now legendary first two Spacek albums: 2001’s Curvatia on Island Blue and 2003’s Vintage Hi-tech on !K7
Indie band from Brighton UK formed in 2003 by Ben Bodoano, drawing influences from bands such as The Who, The Beatles and The Jam.
This is a DIY, No Frills kind of band. Years of experience and passion for GOOD music has led these four members to create the phenomenon that is Harvey. They're currently in the process of writing and recording a new album which will be due out this winter and playing on any bill offered to them. All the while the band is saving up money for new equipment, new merchandise, and a brand spanking new summer tour in 07.
