McAlmont

Born 2nd. May, 1967, in Croydon, Britain.
British singer-songwriter. Full name: David Irving McAlmont. His mother was a Guyanese state-registered. His father was a Nigerian law student. They all moved to Cardiff for a time while the father completed his law degree at the University of Wales. However, the father disappeared around that time. Then David McAlmont, his mother and his sister lived in Croydon and Gorleston-on-sea until 1978 when they moved to Guyana, South America.

Martika

Marta Marrero (born May 18, 1969 in Whittier, California, USA), better known as Martika, is a Cuban-American pop singer. As a child she dabbled in acting making her film debut as one of the dancing orphans in the film version of "Annie". As a teen she would star as 'Gloria' on the syndicated children's variety show 'Kids Incorporated'. After outgrowing her role, Martika would turn her focus towards her first love, music.

Dean Friedman

In the summer of 1977, Dean Friedman marked his entry into pop consciousness with the enormous success of his infectious hit single Ariel, a quirkily irresistible and uncategorizable pop song about a free spirited, music loving, vegetarian Jewish girl in a peasant blouse who lived, as the lyric goes, "...way on the other side of the Hudson." A year later, Friedman struck again, this time with a magical duet, performed with singer Denise Marsa, entitled Lucky Stars. Lucky Stars zoomed to the top of the UK singles charts going instantly gold.

David McAlmont

David Mcalmont is most famous as part of the duo McAlmont and Butler who's hit 'Yes' reached the UK top 10. David's career in music pre-dated this hit by a number of years. First he was part of the 'indie' band 'Thieves' another duo consisting of McAlmont and Saul Freeman. They were touted by NME as an important new emerging act particularly because of the amazing voice of McAlmont and his flamboyant extravagant behaviour and appearance. David and Saul released the single 'Unworthy' during 1993 but then subsequently fell out during the completion of the debut album.

Mark Murphy

Mark Murphy (b. 1932) is an American jazz singer based in New York. He is most noted for his vocalese and vocal improvisations with both melody and lyrics. He is the recipient of the 1996, 1997, 2000, and 2001 Down Beat magazine readers jazz poll for Best Male Vocalist of the Year, and is also the recipient of six Grammy award nominations for Best Vocal Jazz Performance. He is also famous for his original lyrics to the jazz classics "Stolen Moments" and "Red Clay".

CMX

CMX (short for Cloaca Maxima) is a Finnish group consisting of A.W. Yrjänä (vocals, bass), Janne Halmkrona (guitar) and Timo Rasio (guitar). Starting as an English language band, CMX eventually moved to a bit more conventional style of rock, even though their music could be described as somewhat experimental (at least when compared to the other Finnish mainstream rock groups).
