Holger Czukay

Holger Czukay (born March 24, 1938) is a German musician. He was born in the Free City of Danzig (now Gdansk). Czukay studied under Karlheinz Stockhausen from 1963 to 1966 and co-founded the influential rock group Can in 1968. Czukay played bass guitar and performed most of the recording and engineering for the group. Czukay recorded some notable early ambient albums, and is important for his utilization of shortwave radio sounds and sampling, and has collaborated with a considerable number of musicians.

The Oscillation

The brainchild of multi instrumentalist and producer Demian Castellanos, The Oscillation has risen out of the ashes of the critically acclaimed Orichalc Phase (two 12” only releases for DC Recordings in 2006).
Having already worked with such luminaries as producer Tim Holmes from Death In Vegas, as well as a new forthcoming project with a member of Chrome Hoof, Castellanos’ position amongst the cream of the UK’s music fraternity will seem inevitable to anyone who hears The Oscillation.

Michael Rother

Michael Rother (born 2 September 1950 in Hamburg) is a German experimental Krautrock musician and composer. Rother is a multi-instrumentalist (primarily guitar and keyboards) who, along with a catalog of several solo albums starting in 1977, is most known for having co-founded the German group Neu! with drummer Klaus Dinger (five albums between 1971 and 1996), and his collaborative efforts with Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius (aka Cluster) under the name Harmonia (two albums, one in 1974 and 1975, with later 1976 sessions recorded with Brian Eno released two decades later.

Psychic Ills is a group that became active in NYC sometime during 2003. Their sound has included a combination of rock experimentation, drones, electronic textures, and various ethnic influences. Their live shows have varied widely and have been known to have an improvised performance art element as well. The current line up consists of Elizabeth Hart, Brian Tamborello, and Tres Warren. Their 2nd album "Mirror Eye", is set to be released on January 20th of 2009 on The Social Registry label.
