Freya Aswynn

Freya Aswynn the pen name of Elizabeth Hooijschuur (born in November 1949, Zaandam) is a Dutch musician, painter, astrologist and author for Llewellyn Worldwide. A self-proclaimed "Norse Occultist", Aswynn has written books focusing on aspects of Norse paganism combined with historically unrelated subjects such as Kabbalah and Thelema.
Aswynn has worked on several musical projects over the years, most notably the vocals for Current 93. She has appeared on the albums Swastikas for Noddy, Crooked Crosses for the Nodding God, Looney Runes, Sixsixsix Sicksicksick and several others.

Great Big Sea

Great Big Sea (often shortened to GBS) is a Canadian folk-rock band from Newfoundland and Labrador, best known for performing energetic rock interpretations of traditional Newfoundland folk songs. The band also performs original material. On March 11, 2010, Great Big Sea celebrated their seventeenth birthday as a band. And like almost every one of their many anniversaries spent together, they celebrated it by playing a concert, this one in Omaha, Nebraska.

William Lawes

William Lawes (1602–1645) was an English composer and musician. Lawes was born at Salisbury in Wiltshire and was baptised on 1st May 1602. He was the son of Thomas Lawes, a vicar choral at Salisbury Cathedral, and brother to Henry Lawes, a very successful composer in his own right. His patron, Edward Seymour, Earl of Hertford, apprenticed him to the composer John Coprario, which probably brought Lawes into contact with Charles, Prince of Wales at an early age. Both William and his elder brother Henry received court appointments after Charles succeeded to the British throne as Charles I.

Philip Pickett (born 19 November 1950 in London, England) is an English musician, recorder player and director of early music ensembles, notably The New London Consort. Philip Pickett started as a trumpet player. He met Antony Baines and David Munrow who encouraged him to try early woodwind instruments such as the recorder, shawm and rackett. He studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.

Arcturus is an band from Oslo, Norway featuring many prominent members of the Norwegian black metal scene from bands such as Ulver, Dimmu Borgir, Mayhem, Borknagar, The Kovenant, Emperor, and Winds. Arcturus have experimented throughout their career, extracting influences and incorporating elements from all over the musical spectrum including black metal and classical music, but the core of their sound has always been metal.

Phaedra may refer to a number of artists. 1) Phaedra is the musical persona of Norwegian artist and singer Ingvild Langgård, making music that blends dream folk, wooden instruments, psychedelia, medieval hymns and reversed singing, among other things. Her first album, The Sea was released by hailed independent label Rune Grammofon in january 2011 on white vinyl, cd and streaming/mp3 - a conceptual album being the first part of a forthcoming trilogy. The album tells stories of honeydewed autumns, blackwinged animals, the darkest of hours, and, well; the sea.

Aurelie

There are two artists represented here:
1) In autumn of 2001 two males, living almost precisely at the centre of England, decided upon the name Aurelie to denote their collaboration. The word itself is a common girl's name on the continent and was chosen purely for its phonetic beauty rather than any inherent meaning. Their first album, Desde Que Naci, was released on Swim Records in 2003. The album combined ambient electronics and minimalist instrumental pieces, receiving positive reviews from magazines including Wire and Uncut.

Leaves' Eyes currently consists of Liv Kristine (female vocals), Alexander Krull (male vocals, programming), Sander van der Meer (guitars), Thorsten Bauer (guitars/Bass), and Roland Navratil (drums & percussion). Former members include Martin Schmidt (drums, left in 2004), Chris Lukhaup (bass, left in 2007), and Moritz Neuner (drums, left in 2007).
