Bringing the electronic bass music vibe to the yoga scene, and the sounds of yoga to the electronic dance scene, Desert Dwellers’ global sounds are the bridge between worlds. Joining solid groove with sounds of serenity, their signature aesthetic feels as natural on the dance floor as it does after hours or on the mat. Due in no small part to Desert Dwellers’ pioneering spirit, the very concept of chill-out and sacred bass music has expanded dramatically.

Born in Chelsea, the son of a Jazz musician, Dave Angel’s first musical instrument (appropriately) was a drum at the noisy age of eight.
Not one for conforming, even at the early age, Angel spent little time in school, preferring truancy to chemistry and the music room to the classroom. 1988 and the explosion of acid house in London and the rest of the country seemed to be the major break for Angel, who at the time was pioneering this unbelievable new sound on radio Phaze One.
Grown from the halls of NYU, in the midst of one of New York City's harshest winters, Ravens & Chimes debut album, Reichenbach Falls, introduces a youthful, optimistic lightness in the form of a record packed with a series of eclectic and ear-grabbing tunes. Perhaps influenced by many a dark, snowy night in that winter of 2005, Ravens & Chimes dig out a catchy set of instrumentally-charged melodies that show their developed blend of unconventional sound. CMJ called Ravens & Chimes "beautiful" and "unique" evoking comparisons at times to either Wolf Parade or Voxtrot.
