Four parts make the whole, with a sound that reminds us of better, more creative times and a live set that is tighter than Lady Gaga’s ass. The Ambassadors of Morocco are limbering up to launch themselves into the public arena in the autumn of 2010… Following a year of sold-out shows, cherry-picked support-slots, Radio 6 & XFM demo exposure and the honing of a hatful of original songs into a manageable, album sized, comfortably-downloadable set, a single has finally been chosen, with mix engineer Dave Bascombe and his healing hands at the controls.

Bringing the electronic bass music vibe to the yoga scene, and the sounds of yoga to the electronic dance scene, Desert Dwellers’ global sounds are the bridge between worlds. Joining solid groove with sounds of serenity, their signature aesthetic feels as natural on the dance floor as it does after hours or on the mat.  Due in no small part to Desert Dwellers’ pioneering spirit, the very concept of chill-out and sacred bass music has expanded dramatically.

The Master Musicians of Joujouka (until the 1990s synonymous with The Master Musicians of Jajouka, but now a separate recording group) are an ensemble of sufi trance musicians from the village of Jajouka, Morocco in the southern Rif Mountains. The music of Jajouka is a form of reed, pipe, and percussion music that relies on drones, improvisation, and complex rhythms, much of which is unique to Jajouka, often creating a trance state, induced by the intense sound and rhythm of the flutes.
