There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Petra is a Christian Rock band formed in 1972 by Bob Hartman, Bill Glover, John DeGroff, and Greg Hough. "Petra" means "rock" in NT Greek, making the band name a triple pun. Rising from the jesus music movement, and initially signed to Myrrh Records, they fought to gain acceptance and recognition in a church culture that at the time believed rock music to be off-limits.

Tim Hughes is a British-based Christian music artist, worship leader, and songwriter. Widely respected in Christian music circles, Tim is renowned for his Dove Award-winning modern worship anthem: "Here I Am To Worship". Tim & his wife Rachel have been involved with Soul Survivor events around the world as well as the Soul Survivor Watford church for many years. Tim now heads up the worship at Holy Trinity Brompton, having previously been Worship Pastor at Soul Survivor Watford (a post now held by Ben Cantelon) and is passionate about resourcing musicians and worship leaders.

Israel & New Breed

Israel Houghton is a Christian worship leader mostly known for his cross-cultural style of worship music that fuses elements from Gospel music, Jazz and Rock. Houghton is usually credited as Israel & New Breed. His project Alive in South Africa, recorded live in Cape Town, received a Grammy Award for "Best Traditional Gospel Album" in 2007 and a song from the album, "Not Forgotten", recieved a Dove Award for "Contemporory Gospel Recorded Song" in 2006. Both his album Live from Another Level and rendition of "Again I Say Rejoice" received a Dove in 2005.

Kathryn Scott

Kathryn Scott, born in 1974[1] in Northern Ireland, is a Christian songwriter and worship leader, who has written songs such as 'Hungry' and 'At the foot of the cross' for the worshipping church. She released her first album, Satisfy, in 2003, and is currently working on a second project, which has been recorded, and due for release late this year.[2] Brought up in Northern Ireland in a Christian environment, Kathryn discovered her talents for not only piano playing but also for singing.

British Methodist Youth Choir
