There are few Djz and producers in the modern techno world who can truly claim to have pioneered a style and sound, and call it their own. Such statements are often declared, but rarely justified. In the case of Ben Long and Jamie Bissmire, the names behind the revered Space DJz this claim would be unarguable.??Ever since the pair's formation in the early 1900's their unerring ability to fuse techno with their life long love of Hip Hop, has set them aside from there peers.

Tobias Freund

Tobias Freund has been making music for twenty five years. Besides earning his crust as a hired studio gun, Tobias has a long resume of techno records to his name. Often these have been collaborations, as Sieg Über Die Sonne with Dandy Jack, as Atom™ & Pink Elln with Uwe Schmidt, as nsi. with Max Loderbauer, or most recently as Odd Machine with Ricardo Villalobos and/or Atom™. Tobias also records solo, under the name Pink Elln for techno, and Tobias. for house releases.

The Advent

The Advent may refer to the alias of techno artist Cisco Ferreira or the Christian metalcore band. aka Cisco Ferreira Longtime advocates of sonic terrorism even before banding together as the Advent in 1993, Cisco Ferreira and Colin McBean's assault on conventional techno flourished in part because of abundant glimpses into related styles, from electro and hip-hop to techno. Soon after leaving school, Ferreira began working as an engineer at Jack Trax Records, a job which enabled him to glimpse first-hand the work of such auteurs as Derrick May and Marshall Jefferson.

Jerome Hill

Jerome got his turntables in 1990 after being inspired by the pirate radio sounds of London. He began buying hip hop, house, breakbeat and early european techno . In 1994 he hooked up with infamous London soundsystem "JIBA" and further developed his scratching and mixing style for which he has now become known. Always making an effort to be original and different he began getting booked by London promoters and has played alongside many of techno's great innovators including Landstrumm, Rother, Forshaw and Subhead .

Following the success of Chloé’s The Waiting Room, the label Kill The DJ continues to redefine a certain idea of electro music with the long-awaited release of the first album by REMOTE, aka Seb Fouble & Eric Guillanton. 2000-2003: the post-French touch period, everybody is on the look out for something new, and that something new is somewhere out there on vinyl. Seb & Eric release their first maxi as Joe Zas & Co. on Pamplemousse. Then another, this a really important record, a witness to its time: Astroglide, considered as one of the best maxis in 2003 by the press and DJs alike.

Robert Hood

Robert Hood makes minimal Detroit techno with an emphasis on soul and experimentation over flash and popularity. Having recorded for Metroplex, as well as the Austrian Cheap label and Jeff Mills' Axis label, Hood also owns and operates the M-Plant imprint (including the two sub-labels Drama and Duet) through which he has released the bulk of his solo material.
