Big Sugar is a blues rock band from Toronto, Canada. They were active from 1991 to 2004 and again since April 2010. The band has sold more than half a million albums in Canada. With its successful 2011 release of “Revolution Per Minute”, BIG SUGAR announced that they were not merely content to rest on their considerable laurels of past hits. Known for their innovative style that refuses to be easily labelled, as well as for their extraordinary live performances, which saw them close out last year with a full 40 city national tour, BIG SUGAR is back.

Reverend Kriss Hades is an artist from Sydney, Australia who is proficient at painting, drawing, playing and composing guitar and multimedia. He has had an art show and has played numerous concerts that are bending the norms of what live music and art constitute. If his influences had to be chosen, one would say he stemmed from Black Metal. His live performances usually consist of him standing robed on stage furiously playing improvised guitar over basic backing music which changes with each performance.

Drawn together at the altar of funky soul, Eric Krasno, Sam Kininger, Adam Deitch, Erick Coomes, Jeff Bhasker, and Ryan Zoidis began taking over local clubs and jam nights on borrowed sound equipment. Brash and precocious, the guys always got what they needed: "Let us borrow your gear." "Let us play one more tune." "Let us crash on your couch." Thus Lettuce ("Let us...") was born, and the funky gospel found another apostle.
