Pat Benatar is a four-time Grammy winner with six platinum and four gold albums to her credit as well as such hit singles as "I Need a Lover", "Heartbreaker", "Fire and Ice", "Treat Me Right", "Hit Me With Your Best Shot", "Hell Is For Children", "Shadows of the Night", and "Love Is a Battlefield". Benatar is acknowledged as one of the leading female rock vocalists in the industry. She was born in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York, USA, on January 10th 1953, as Patricia Andrzejewski and graduated Lindenhurst High on Long Island in 1971.

Hue & Cry are coatbridge brothers Patrick (vocals) and Greg (instruments) Kane, who have been recording and performing since the mid-to-late 1980s to the present day. The Kanes became known for both their creative jazz-pop style records and Patrick's distinctive, soulful voice (drawing strong similarities to Level 42 in both respects) - despite not achieving overwhelming commercial success, they are well respected by a large fanbase, and have recorded and released albums regularly (some of them failing to chart in the UK).

Curiosity Killed the Cat was a British band who found success in the United Kingdom pop charts in the late 1980s and early 1990s. They played soulful, funky pop jazz and were initially signed to Phonogram Records' Mercury imprint. The first came to notice of the UK music and style press when they hooked up with photographer Andy Warhol for the video of the 1986 single Misfit. This featured the band in New York and at one point featured Ben Ben Volpeliere-Pierrot dancing down a side street...

They were formed in 1977 as Flowers by Iva Davies (born Ivor Arthur Davies, on 22 May 1955, in Wauchope, New South Wales, Australia), who was the main creative force, and a classically trained musician; and bass player, Keith Welsh. For a number of years they also obtained the services of Bob Kretschmer, until he was replaced by young guitarist Paul Gildea. Since 1980 Icehouse has released seven albums, several compilations, and music from collaborations with other artists including dance companies.
