Avalanche

There are 16 bands under the name Avalanche. 1.) Avalanche is Polish rock band. In this band plays: Bartosz Słatyński (vocal / guitar / fiddle), Michał Gołuchowski (bass), Tomek Gołuchowski (guitars), Sebastian Boba (drums). They have released 1 record: "Połączenie" in 2006. 2.) Avalanche is also a Norwegian popduo.
Kirsti Johansen (lead vocals / backing vocals), Kjetil Roesnes (Lead vocals / keyboards / guitars / programmings). They have released 2 albums: Avalanche (1990) and Westbound (1992). They are now recording their new AVALANCHE album, planned to be released 2006.

Capillary Action

Capillary Action is a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania based band made up largely of graduates of Oberlin College and Oberlin Conservatory of Music. The ensemble has a widely-varying list of members centered around the constant Jonathan Pfeffer. Capillary Action's 2004 debut album Fragments was written when Pfeffer was 17 years old, and was realized mostly as a solo project, with help from fellow Oberlin students Jeff Cristiani and Kevin Alexander.

Thomas Mapfumo

Thomas Mapfumo (born 1945 in Marondera, Zimbabwe) is a Zimbabwean musician known as "The Lion of Zimbabwe" for his immense popularity and for the political influence he wields through his music. Pre-Independence, his songs openly called for the violent overthrow of the government, with lyrics like "Mothers, send your sons to war." Since the white government didn't understand Shona, however, at first they didn't realize how radical the songs were.

The Box

There are, at least, four artists named The Box. 1) A Montreal, Canada new wave band, formed 1981 by Jean-Marc Pisapia (an early member of Men Without Hats). The band was re-started, in 2003, with new lineup. Originally, Jean-Marc recruited guitarist Guy Florent and bassist Jean-Pierre Brie for the band, who were originally known as Checkpoint Charlie before settling on the name The Box. After a 15-year hiatus the band released their fifth album, the progressive-rock flavored "Black Dog There" on Komfy-Universal.
