Silver Gospel Runners

Silver Gospel Runners are an ever expanding group of Cardiff musicians playing vaguely eccentric, whimsical indie pop. They are definitely not a defunct 18th century message carrying service for monks studying ancient ecclesiastical texts. They write songs about lighthouses, toy robots, waterborne diseases the flora and fauna of the southern hemisphere, dinosaurs, casinos and compass points. They play all their own notes and sing all their own words except when they borrow them.

Sweet Baboo

Sweet Baboo a.k.a Stephen Black formulated in the hills of North Wales some 10 or 11 years ago, initially as a way to impress girls and to waste Sundays. Locked inside his parents’ loft he would noodle and tinkle with his Casio keyboard, a 10 pound Tandy microphone, a little four track recorder and his father’s guitar. The culmination of this experimentation was the first two batches of Sweet Baboo songs. Firmly rooted in Welsh Psychedelic Pop (S.F.

Draw me Stories

The melodic, thumping, and occasionally eccentric timbre of Cardiff's Draw me Stories is the musical invention of three chaps: Carl Hodgetts sings songs about all sorts, Mathieu Albasser plays bass and tickles the glockenspiel, and Samuel Souter hits all things that emit tasty ‘booms’ or ‘tings’ (these may include drums, spoons or plant pots). The story began for our three troubadours at Cardiff University.
