Active Suspension is a quietly brilliant little French label with a fondness for maverick electronica music. Though probably the most gentle record AS have released, it’s also the deepest, most inspired. The Konki Duet appear to be a French/Japanese hybrid and the title is a play on the cover version within – Visage’s “Fade To Grey.” Barely off my stereo these past 2 months, it’s an intriguing quilt of smallbeat electronica, real strings, drums and exquisite vocal harmonies that puts me in mind of an eerier Mùm.
There are two musical groups called The Wellingtons: 1. An Australian power-pop group.
2. An American folk group - -
1. The Wellingtons (power-pop) Australia’s The Wellingtons continue to inject all that is cute, smart, and sweet into their crafted up-beat power pop tunes. It’s the sound that’s brought them devoted fans in the U.S, Canada and Spain and major success in Japan where their first two albums have not only sold strongly but led the band to tour live houses, packed with smiling fans in many of their major cities.

Sly Hats is the solo outing for Geoff O'Connor: the songwriter and singer for Melbourne pop quartet the Crayon Fields. With the album Liquorice Night, O'Connor guides his collection of curious songs through a diverse musical landscape of sparse calypso balladry, woody lounge percussion and densely layered baroque pop.
Roadside Poppies are an indie pop band based in Copenhagen (DK) and Cambridge (UK) with members in both countries. Roadside Poppies were established in Cambridge, UK in 2005 by multi-instrumentalist and singer Matloob Qureshi as a one-man 'pop with tuneless singing' project, but the project quickly grew into a full band, and as they now had two songwriters, two lead singers and had added skillful keyboard- and guitar players. The indie pop ensemble managed to stray a small distance off the grassy verge of tunelessness and into a field of catchy and bass-driven guitar pop songs.
my sad captains are a London-based quintet who sound like pavement getting a pop overhaul. Formed in late 2004, they expand on the standard guitar line-up by adding various other instruments, such as violin, melodica, keyboard, glockenspiel and samples. They produce an american alt-pop sound, touched with country lashes and occasional fiery noise outbursts. They attempt to play interesting melodic songs that hold people's interest.
