Flamboyant Bella

Refusing to be pigeonholed, Flamboyant Bella have gone from strength to strength with their hybrid of infectious pop, indie wrecklessness, and dance floor fillers. Having played only a handful of gigs, they have impressed audiences of all types, and have established a dedicated local fanbase, and an even more widespread following on myspace.

The House Of Love

The House of Love are a British rock band who were primarily active from the late 1980s to early 90s, and reformed in 2005. The band's original lineup was: Guy Chadwick (vocals, guitar), Terry Bickers (guitar), Andrea Heukamp (vocals, guitar), Pete Evans (drums) and Chris Groothuizen (bass). Bickers left in 1989 and was replaced by Simon Walker, who in turn was replaced by Simon Mawby in 1992. Andrea Heukamp left the band in 1988, returning briefly in 1991.

Kinch

Kinch is an indie pop band from Phoenix, Arizona. Their sound has been described as brusque power pop, "an alt-rock pop style reminiscent of a few Brit bands, hearkening back to the sensibilities of '60s garage rock." The band's debut album, Advances, was recently honored as the Best Arizona Album of 2008 by the Phoenix New Times. Their pop sound has drawn comparisons to Coldplay and the The Strokes, while others have likened them to Ben Folds, The Arcade Fire and Blur. The name 'Kinch' is a reference to the character Stephen Dedalus in the novel Ulysses by James Joyce.

The Lovetones

The Lovetones is led by Matthew J. Tow (acoustic & electric guitars / sitar / autoharp / vocals), formerly of Drop City, Colorsound and The Brian Jonestown Massacre, along with Matt Sigley (bass / keyboards / vocals) and Chris Cobb (drums / percussion). The Lovetones released their debut album, Be What You Want in 2002 through Bomp! Records, creating a palpable buzz amongst critics from the likes of Creem and Rolling Stone magazine. The latter hailed mainman Matthew J Tow's songwriting worthy of Ray Davies, Bowie, Lennon and McCartney: a bold statement, yet in his case, completely justified.

Chicks On Speed

Chicks on Speed are a female band, born when Alex and Melissa met at the Munich Art Academy in 1997. Chicks on Speed's core members are Melissa Logan (Upstate NY, USA) and Alex Murray-Leslie (Bowral, Australia), who collaborate with amongst others Anat Ben-David (Tel Aviv, Israel), Kathi Glas (Berlin, Germany) and A.L. Steiner (NY, USA). Around Chicks on Speed there is grouped a large and ever-changing collective of musicians, producers, fashion and graphic artists, designers, film and video makers, and so on.

Gregory Page

Gregory Page, formerly of The Rugburns, was born in London, England. As a teenager, he attended Trinity College of Music where he studied classical guitar and composition. At the age of sixteen, Page moved to Southern California where he began writing and recording music. Besides working on his own music, Page has also worked with eclectic array of artists such as Jason Mraz, John Doe, Jewel, Tom Brosseau, Steve Poltz and A.J. Croce. In 1996, John Doe, formerly of the band X, provided lead guitar on and produced his independently released Fare thee Well album.

Mishima

Mishima is a Catalan indie pop band from Barcelona. Their music is influenced by artists as Magnetic Fields and The Divine Comedy. After a surprising debut in 2000, Lipstick traces, all in English, and then The fall of the public man in 2003 where they introduced the catalan language including three songs written in Catalan. In 2005 they published Trucar a casa. Recollir les fotos. Pagar la multa, where 11 of the 12 tracks are sung in Catalan.
